On Wednesday Bangladesh team managed to score a five-wicket outstanding win of 137-5 in 18.4 overs over New Zealand. This T20 victory was achieved after nine continuous defeats and hence was really special. The team will now play their next two games in Mount Maunganui where they earned their first Test win over the Kiwis in their own backyard. After the game in Napier all-rounder Mahedy Hasan won the man of the match award and told the reporters that "When you win, the confidence is good both as a player and as a team and now we are going to another venue to win and for that, we need to adapt to the conditions as soon as possible". He also added that, "When the bowlers do well, it helps the team as it grows confidence. In the last game, the bowling unit bowled very well and bowlers know that in this condition, they have to come up with smart bowling and all of whom bowled did well for us". He also mentioned that Liton Das helped him in the middle of the match and that resulted in them achieving a 40-run stand and eventually having a historic win.
