"Finn Allen's Record-Breaking Century Secures Series Win for New Zealand"

New Zealand Pakistan

In a thrilling cricket match in Dunedin, Finn Allen achieved something truly incredible. He hit an awe-inspiring century, leading New Zealand to a decisive 45-run victory over Pakistan. With this win, New Zealand now leads the T20I series 3-0 out of 5.

New Zealand batted first and had some problems when Devon Conway was just out in the beginning. However, Finn Allen played brilliantly and he formed a formidable duo with Tim Seifert. Finn Allen's explosive innings of 137 runs off just 62 deliveries, featuring five boundaries and an astonishing 16 sixes, etched a new chapter in the record books. Notably, he broke Brendon McCullum’s 12-year old record for the highest individual score in T20I cricket by New Zealand.

New Zealand made a big score of 224 runs for 7 wickets. Even though Haris Rauf took two wickets for Pakistan, he also gave away a lot of runs. Glenn Phillips helped too, scoring 19 runs in just 15 balls. The BlackCaps, that's what they call the New Zealand team, made a lot of runs, and it was exciting to watch.

Now, when it was Pakistan's turn to bat, they tried really hard. However, Mitchell Santner broke an important wicket after Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam did well. Azam was unstoppable, scoring his third straight fifty in the series and 58 runs off 37 balls.

In the end, Pakistan managed only 179 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. That meant they were 45 runs short of New Zealand's total. This victory means that New Zealand has won the series, and they will meet again on January 19 in Christchurch. Finn Allen's fantastic batting made everyone pleased, because it demonstrates how good New Zealand is at T20 cricket!
